Water One restrictions

Q: Are there water restrictions?
A: No, WaterOne continues to provide safe, quality water on demand. However, due to the dry conditions, WaterOne has contacted a limited number of customers in two areas of the district to ask for homeowners’ voluntary cooperation with outdoor watering habits.

We have asked customers in a section affecting portions of Leawood, Overland Park and Prairie Village to adjust their outdoor watering schedule to Tuesday, Thursday, and a weekend day. This will help us balance demand on the system as a whole and potentially improve pressure to that target area.

We have also asked customers in the southeast section of the district to avoid outdoor watering between 10 am and 8 pm. This voluntary, precautionary measure will help us recharge reservoirs to ensure that pressure and demand is met sustainably for the entire system throughout the prolonged dry spell.
